On a cold and rain-soaked October night, Marshall Allen made it all make sense…Here’s the first interview with Allen, where he breaks it down for ShoMerde’s FamousLee; his history in the Sun Ra Arkestra and his role as a Leader after Sun Ra’s passing. Allen is certainly a humble, classy example of musicianship.

    I caught the Sun Ra Arkestra headed by Allen a couple years back at Lula Lounge here in Toronto. Sun Ra himself must have been most pleased from afar as my mind was completely blown. Seeing Marshall jump around stage at that age was almost as amazing as the sounds.
